Hebel® Hi Rise Internal Wall - Shaft
The Hebel® PowerWall™ systems for shaft wall applications are a natural extension of the Hebel® PowerWall™ systems acoustic wall systems solutions, which have been used in many projects. Similar to the Common Walls & Intertenancy Walls, Shaft Walls use the Hebel® PowerPanel as the main fire resistance and structural component of the wall. To further enhance the performance qualities of the shaft wall, other CSR building products, such as Gyprock plasterboard and Bradford insulation, have been added to construct a wall system with particular performance qualities.
The three basic wall arrangements with the Hebel® PowerPanel as the core element are:
- Plasterboard on steel framing with optional insulation.
- Direct fixed plasterboard to the Hebel® PowerPanel.
- Paint coating to the Hebel® PowerPanel surface.

Features
- Acoustic insulation: Hebel® PowerWall™ service walls can achieve high acoustic insulation ratings as determined from testing and expert opinion.
- Fire separation: the AAC material used to fabricate the Hebel® PowerPanel will not burn and has high thermal resistance qualities. Hebel® PowerWall service walls have high fire resistance ratings determined from testing and expert opinion.
- Single trade construction: same trade contractors can install the Hebel® inter-tenancy and corridor wall solutions.
- Lightweight: lighter loads on structure than traditional masonry.
- Slender walls: wall thicknesses range from 75mm to 175mm.
- Material Synergy: the panels and connections are the same elements as those used for inter-tenancy and corridor walls, which can also sustain higher than normal/standard internal pressures when required
