House builders Porter Davis Homes has created an exciting point of difference in the Victorian new-build home market by including Hebel^® as an option in the construction of its premium Prestige design range.

Every year, Porter Davis builds more than 600 Prestige houses.

The versatility of Hebel^®, and the provision of technical advice by Hebel’s^® support team, meant that Porter Davis was able to easily adapt its house design around the characteristics of the new material. Porter Davis’s Building Supervisor Corey Robertson says that their conversion to Hebel^® in the building of Prestige exterior walls systems stems from its numerous benefits over traditional masonry products:

“Hebel^® is produced in different sized panels and delivered ready to use. This simply means supply issues are reduced and it minimises site waste and clean-up time. Because Hebel^® is easier to work with than other masonry products it also means faster construction times – something builders and home buyers really appreciate.”

Hebel’s^® thermal insulation properties also satisfies Porter Davis’s move to build energy efficient homes to satisfy the demand for sustainable housing. “Hebel^® keeps homes cool in the summer and warm in the winter. Starting with a higher system R-Value means that some homes don’t require further insulation to meet the building code regulations, and adding bulk insulation improves the performance of the house over comparable systems,” says Mr Robertson.

Porter Davis’s Sales Manager Hans Oudemans says that offering their customers a Hebel® option reflects their commitment to excellence and innovation in homebuilding. Mr Oudemans adds that customers who have opted for Hebel^®-built homes have been extremely satisfied with their purchase and that customer interest in Hebel^® is growing:
